Southern’s Macario Dade Jr. is a compact, emerging back with versatility and upside
Macario Dade Jr. enters the 2026 season as a freshman RB for Southern at 5-foot-6, 165 pounds, and has already shown a little multi-purpose juice with 1 carry for 0 yards and 1 catch for 2 yards in the 2026 season opener at Houston. His fit is about quickness, low-center leverage, and developmental upside more than volume right now, and the fact that Southern lists him on the active 2026 roster suggests he’s in the mix rather than buried. If you want a speedier change-of-pace back who can contribute in space and grow into a role, he’s a name worth tracking.
