Davidson’s dependable safety with special-teams grit
Cade Vela is a safety for Davidson who brings the kind of low-drama, high-trust profile coaches love: physical effort, assignment discipline, and a willingness to do the dirty work in the secondary and on special teams. Publicly available stat detail is limited in the sources provided, so the clearest takeaway is his role-based value rather than flashy numbers—he looks like a tone-setter who can help stabilize coverage, support the run, and keep a defense organized. If you want a steady, coachable defensive back who fits a team-first culture, he’s worth a look.
