Jackson State's Muscular, 4.48-Second Safety with NFL-Endorsed Versatility
John Huggins (#10), a 6'10", 205-lb graduate safety at Jackson State, stands out with elite speed (4.48s 40-yard dash), a muscular build, and rare versatility as a Strong Safety, SAM, and Nickelback in the 4-2-5 defense. His 2023 season featured 28 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 1 FF, while his 2022 campaign added 31 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks, and 1 INT. Former All-Pro Bubba McDowell endorses him as an intriguing, well-rounded prospect with great run-stopping ability and substantial athleticism. Huggins plays with intense focus, no known injury history, and a team-first personality, making him a high-fit, immediate-impact safety for any roster seeking speed, coverage, and tackling reliability.
