experienced guard with a proven winning résumé
Corey Speight brings a winning profile to UTEP: MaxPreps says he finished his Stall High School career with 6 double-doubles and ranked near the top in several South Carolina and Division AAAAA categories, signaling a guard who can impact the game beyond scoring. Public stat lines from his earlier college career at North Alabama were modest (1.6 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists per game, 31.7% FG), so his value is more about hustle, versatility, and team fit than headline numbers. He looks like a steady, high-effort depth piece rather than a primary offensive engine.[1][2][3]
