Quick, Poised Xavier Floor General with a Big-Game Track Record
Drew Lavender was a high-IQ, ultra-fast point guard whose value went well beyond counting stats: at Xavier, he helped run the offense with 4.1 assists per game in his college career and delivered when it mattered, earning 2007 A-10 All-Championship Team honors after averaging 15.5 points, 9.0 assists and 2.5 steals in two tournament games. In the 2007-08 season, he was a steady creator and disruptive defender, the kind of guard who raises a team’s tempo, ball security and competitiveness—an especially strong fit for programs wanting a table-setting lead guard with toughness and postseason poise.
