Drexel’s steady, defense-first veteran guard
In the 2021-22 season, Matey Juric was a senior guard who gave Drexel toughness, continuity, and leadership more than flashy box-score volume: he appeared in 107 career games, scored efficiently enough to provide usable minutes, and built a reputation as a disruptive defender with 90 career steals and a three-time team Defensive Player of the Year nod. He also won Drexel’s Dean Ehlers Leadership Award and was a captain with a 3.98 GPA, which makes him the kind of high-IQ, high-accountability player coaches love to plug into a winning culture.
