Ahmed Ismail brings efficient rim protection and sturdy interior production to IU Indianapolis
Ahmed Ismail is a 6'10" center whose appeal is straightforward: he finishes efficiently, rebounds his area, and gives IU Indianapolis a legitimate interior presence. In the 2025-26 season, ESPN lists him at 5.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 56.4% shooting, which points to a low-usage but reliable paint role.[3] His differentiators are size, defensive length, and physicality; earlier scouting notes also described him as a player who can "do a little bit of everything," while noting he still needed to sharpen basketball IQ and speed processing.[6]{
