Gavin Yax brings massive freshman interior size to Lawrence Tech
Gavin Yax arrives at Lawrence Tech as a 6-foot-0, 350-pound freshman offensive lineman from Whitmore Lake, giving the Blue Devils a true power-frame blocker who can change a line of scrimmage with size alone. He was listed as a 2026 recruit and signed with Lawrence Tech, with recruiting coverage tagging him as an offensive tackle/guard type, which suggests versatility across the interior. The big question is refinement, but if your team wants a dense, physical mauler with long-term upside and engineering-major focus, he looks like a sturdy fit.
