Colton Hegwood is a steady, multi-hit catalyst for Jax State
In the 2025 season, Jacksonville State utility man Colton Hegwood was one of the Gamecocks’ most reliable bats, hitting .295 with 56 hits, 12 doubles, 3 triples and 13 stolen bases, and he also opened the year on a 17-game hit streak[1][6]. He was singled out in game coverage for big offensive nights and clutch RBI work, which fits a player whose value comes from contact, speed and lineup flexibility more than loud power[4][5][12]. For a team needing a versatile, competitive table-setter who can move around the field and keep pressure on defenses, he looks like a very solid fit[1].
