Versatile Linebacker with Academic Credentials and Leadership Pedigree
Nick Rossi signed with Akron in 2011 as a 6-0, 229-lb inside linebacker prospect from Riverside High School (Taylor, PA). The 2010 Lackawanna Football Conference Division II Defensive Player of the Year brought impressive credentials: 116 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and two interceptions as a senior, plus selection to the Pennsylvania Big 33 Game. A two-year captain at Akron, Rossi earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors and the Northeast Ohio National Football Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship, demonstrating he's a complete student-athlete who leads by example both on and off the field.
