Stanford's Tackling Machine and 2007 NFL Draft Gem
Michael Okwo, a 6-0, 232-pound linebacker for Stanford Cardinal, stood out with his explosive speed (4.55 40-yard dash) and relentless tackling intensity during his senior 2006 season, earning a third-round selection (pick 94 overall) by the Chicago Bears in the 2007 NFL Draft. His British-American grit, versatility as OLB/S, and non-stop motor made him a differentiator against bigger backs—perfect for teams needing a sideline-to-sideline defender with Pro potential. Why care? This high-character leader was NFL-ready out of college.
