Rim protection first, offense second
Akok Akok’s calling card is length, shot-blocking, and energy in the frontcourt — in the 2023-24 season at West Virginia, he played 23 games with eight starts, averaging 3.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 21 blocks, while earlier at Georgetown he showed more of the same with 6.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game in 2022-23. He’s the kind of big who can change a possession without demanding touches, and his upside comes from defensive disruption more than scoring polish. The catch: injury history and limited offensive volume make him more specialist than centerpiece.
