From Clemson WR to Rising RB Coach Star at West Virginia
Xavier Dye, a former Clemson Tigers wide receiver with career college stats of 28 receptions for 412 yards and 3 TDs (2009-2012), has transitioned into a promising running backs coach; at Coastal Carolina in 2023-24, his RBs racked up 1,318 rushing yards and 16 TDs, earning All-Sun Belt honors, powering a 14-12 record and a bowl win—now at West Virginia (2025+), he's fueling a top-10 rush attack (248.2 ypg) in a high-octane offense (No. 3 total yards nationally). His player-coach intensity, community roots, and knack for developing explosive backs make him a differentiator for teams seeking gritty, scheme-versatile run games.
