Akron Zips LB with Untapped Potential Amid Limited Spotlight
Nolan Plate, linebacker for the Akron Zips, remains a developing talent in the MAC with solid tackling fundamentals but limited statistical breakout in recent seasons due to team struggles and rotational role. His differentiator is relentless motor and sideline-to-sideline speed, making him a pursuit machine ideal for gap-sound defenses—no major injury history noted. Reliable sources highlight his high football IQ and leadership in practice, positioning him as a reliable special teams ace with starter upside. Care because he's a culture-fit gem for mid-major or developmental NFL squads seeking gritty, coachable LBs.
