Reliable, physical forward who brought size and rebounding to Providence
In the 2007-08 season, Alex Kellogg was a 6-7, 225-pound forward who immediately contributed for Providence with rebounding, defensive activity, and a toughness-first profile that translated into minutes early in his Friars career. He’s best understood as a glue guy: physical, team-oriented, and not flashy, with enough size to battle inside and enough mobility to help on the glass. He later left the team after the 2008-09 season, so he’s more a historical Friars piece than a current roster option—but the fit was clear for a coach who wanted grit, length, and low-ego work.
