David Wright brings Navy a disruptive interior presence at nose tackle
Wright profiles as a **physical, assignment-sound nose tackle** for Navy, with ESPN listing him on the defensive line and Navy’s roster identifying him as part of the program’s 2025 squad.[3][5] For a service-academy defense, his value is less about splashy box-score numbers and more about **taking on double teams, holding the point of attack, and freeing linebackers**—the kind of dirty-work skill set that fits Navy’s physical identity. Because publicly available stats are limited, the clearest takeaway is fit: he looks like a **role-specific interior anchor** rather than a stat-stuffing playmaker.[3][5]
