Highly Touted Buffs Recruit with Limited College Impact
Damiene Cain, a 6-6, 225-pound power forward from Harvard-Westlake, entered Colorado as a top-181 national recruit (247Sports), No. 13 in California, and No. 42 PF nationally with an 84 rating—showcasing his high school prowess where he ranked top-318 nationally in scoring at 3.1 PPG (MaxPreps). In limited 2011-12 college action, he averaged 1.1 PTS and 1.3 REB on 75% FG (ESPN), suggesting raw physicality and efficiency but minimal role. Care because his size and pedigree hint at untapped upside for teams needing frontcourt depth; a solid developmental fit for programs patient with blue-chip potential.
