Bobby Hunter was a steady, efficient backcourt captain for Illinois State
In the 2014–15 season, Bobby Hunter was a reliable Illinois State guard who brought steady shooting, veteran poise, and bench value, earning Missouri Valley Conference All-Bench Team honors. He shot 40.4% from three-point range, averaged 6.8 points and 2.0 rebounds, and was known for being one of the Redbirds’ most dependable perimeter options off the bench. The differentiator: he wasn’t just a stats guy—he was also a team captain and a leader in a young locker room, which matters if you want a mature, selfless guard who can stabilize a rotation.
