rising Miami DB with All-ACC upside and proven playmaking
Poyser enters Miami as a physical, versatile defensive back with legitimate ball skills and a track record of making impact plays, earning 2025 All-ACC honorable mention and 2024 Freshman All-America recognition. His profile suggests a high-motor defender who can fit multiple roles in the secondary, and the move to Miami signals confidence in his ability to translate production into ACC-level disruption. For a team, the appeal is clear: he looks like a competitive, adaptable DB with upside, not just a depth add.
