David Posey’s Navy profile is still early, but the arm talent is real
Posey is a Navy freshman right-hander whose current college production is limited so far, with Dugout Sports listing him at 13.50 ERA and 0 strikeouts in 2.0 innings in 2026, while Navy’s roster notes he spent the 2024-25 academic year at Avon Old Farms, a Naval Academy Foundation school.[2][6] The broader draw is his pedigree: Perfect Game and high-school reporting show a strike-throwing starter who logged 61 strikeouts in 44.1 innings before arriving at Navy, suggesting a live arm with upside if he sharpens command and adapts to the college game.[1][3] For a team, he looks like a developmental righty with early flashes, not an instant-impact stopper.[1][2][3]
