James King brings disruptive, experienced defensive-line upside to VMI
James King is a defensive lineman for VMI whose value is best framed by his physical, state-level pedigree and early-career defensive upside rather than splashy stat lines; VMI has listed him at 6'2" and 240 pounds on its roster, and he earned Honorable Mention All-State plus First Team All-Timesland honors in high school. [3][4] If you want a front-seven player with proven toughness, hand-fight potential, and room to develop into a reliable interior/edge presence, he fits that profile; publicly available team pages do not show a recent injury narrative or detailed current production, so his exact 2026 role should be verified from game logs and camp reports.
