D.J. Johnson Brings Veteran Stability and Versatility to Texas Tech’s Secondary
Texas Tech senior safety D.J. Johnson profiles as a steady, experienced presence in the Red Raiders’ defensive backfield, with the kind of senior-year poise coaches value in a safety room. Texas Tech’s own materials highlight him as a senior safety with a long track record in the program, and his career high of 14 tackles in a game shows he can step into physical, downhill support when needed. He is the kind of fit you want if you need reliability, communication, and mature defensive back play more than splashy highlight-chasing.
