a steady Wyoming linebacker with proven experience and tackling juice
Alex Toney’s profile with Wyoming points to a veteran-style defender who has logged meaningful snaps for the Cowboys and brings linebacker versatility rather than flash. The clearest strength is reliability: he’s the kind of player who fits a physical, assignment-sound defense and can help clean up plays in space. Public listings also show him as an older, experienced Cowboy in the program’s linebacker mix, which matters for trust and maturity. The big question is upside versus role — he looks more like a dependable fit for a team that wants toughness, poise, and no-drama football than a pure stat-sheet superstar.
