Ball State’s old-school defensive back with a linebacker’s mindset
Kevin Obyc is listed in Ball State’s football history as a 5-foot-11, 197-pound freshman DB from Columbus, Ohio, and ESPN’s archived player page also places him at Ball State, though the public records surfaced here do not show current 2026 production or recent stat-line activity. What stands out most is the physical profile: he looks built for contact, not just coverage, which hints at a player who can trigger downhill and play with edge. If you want a gritty, multi-role defensive back candidate, he fits the mold—but there isn’t enough recent verified data here to call him a current impact starter.
