Elite long snapper, two-time FCS All-American, and the kind of specialist coaches love
Joshua Appel was a blue-chip special teams piece for Indiana State, earning First-Team STATS FCS All-America honors in both 2015 and 2016 and reportedly handling 48 straight games without a botched snap. In the 2016 season, he was widely described by Indiana State as one of the best long snappers in college football, with standout camp results and a reputation for consistency, poise, and precision under pressure. If your team wants a low-drama, high-trust specialist who makes punt and field-goal operations feel boring in the best possible way, Appel fits the bill.
