From Ohio Bobcats Bench Guard to Iowa State Cyclones Coach
Connor Murrell, a former Ohio Bobcats guard who averaged modest 2.8 PPG, 1.4 RPG, and 0.6 APG on 32.8% FG in the 2019-20 season while battling injuries that limited him to just 14 games, has transitioned into coaching; now a graduate assistant at Iowa State under T.J. Otzelberger, he contributed to their remarkable turnaround from 2 wins to a 22-13 record. Tough, resilient, and team-first with a sharp basketball IQ, he's not a current player but a rising coach—perfect for programs seeking dedicated staff to build culture and develop talent.
