Steady, high-IQ Alabama QB who won with efficiency and leadership
Greg McElroy’s Alabama profile is defined less by flash than by poise, accuracy, and command of the offense: he led the Crimson Tide to the 2009 SEC title and was named the game’s MVP, then earned 2010 ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-American honors, which points to a cerebral, detail-oriented quarterback who fit elite-team standards on and off the field.[6] He is best understood as a quarterback who values structure, decision-making, and consistency over raw improvisation, making him a strong fit for systems that prize timing, preparation, and locker-room leadership.[6]
