Jason Alessi’s Yale card: elite punt-return juice, steady defensive back, and a dual-sport spark
Jason Alessi was a do-it-all Yale DB whose value went well beyond basic tackle totals: in the 2017 season he started all 10 games, logged 40 solo tackles, 49 total stops, one interception, four tackles for loss, and a pass breakup, while also owning one of the school’s most electric special-teams resumes with two punt returns of 80+ yards in Yale history. He earned All-Ivy Honorable Mention and was known as a reliable, high-intensity starter with rare big-play upside—especially attractive if you want a defender who can flip field position and bring a little chaos in the best way.
