Kordell Rodgers brings versatile, quarterback-to-defensive-back athleticism to Texas State
Rodgers is a versatile defensive back whose biggest appeal is his football IQ and adaptability, having played quarterback in high school and handled cornerback and safety duties at Texas State. In 2022, he appeared in 11 games and started at safety against Houston Baptist, showing enough trust to contribute in multiple spots. That kind of position flexibility is valuable for a secondary seeking depth, match-up coverage, and special-teams utility. He looks like a fit for teams that value toughness, academics, and coachability over raw measurables alone.
