Veteran guard Roberto Fortes brings shooting touch and international experience to Illinois State
Roberto Fortes is a seasoned guard whose value goes beyond box scores: FIBA records show he has been a steady, low-usage contributor across Angola’s senior national-team competitions, with his best impact coming as a floor-spacer and secondary creator rather than a high-volume scorer.[2][3] Illinois State lists him on its roster, and the main appeal is his mature, experienced presence, plus a reputation for athletic shot-making and attacking closeouts that can stretch defenses.[4][8] If you want a guard who adds poise, perimeter shooting, and veteran stability, he fits the profile; if you need a primary shot-creator, that is not his calling card.[2][8]
