Former Liberty Walk-On Guard with Elite High School 3-Point Shooting (51%) and Redshirt Resilience
Ryan Hiepler is a former Liberty Flames guard whose standout differentiator is his elite high school 3-point shooting (51% as a senior at Oaks Christian), though his college impact was limited to a walk-on role averaging 0.6–0.8 points per game across 2016–2018. He utilized a redshirt year in 2016–17, showing resilience and patience, but did not play that season, and his intensity level was consistent despite minimal scoring output. With no injury history reported and a Camarillo, CA background, Hiepler’s personality reflects quiet dedication over flash. He is not a fit for a team seeking a high-impact scorer today, as his college stats are negligible (0.5 AST, 0.5 REB), but his 51% 3P% from high school suggests latent shooting potential if reactivated. Care about him for his underdog story and high school pedigree, not current performance.
