Record-Setting NCCU QB Turned Coach with a Big-Play Resume
Richard is best known for his elite production at North Carolina Central, where he became the program’s all-time passing leader with 8,991 yards and 73 touchdowns and was the MEAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. His calling card is efficiency under pressure, plus enough mobility to extend plays and add value as a runner. The main caveat is that he is no longer an active college player—NCCU lists him as quarterbacks coach for 2025, and his pro career ended after a short UFL stint—so he fits more as a coach or mentor than a current roster fit.
