Rufus Barfield brings veteran linebacker toughness to FAMU
In his Florida A&M career bio, Rufus Barfield is listed at 5-foot-11, 225 pounds, and his profile points to a hard-nosed, physical linebacker with special teams value and a grinder’s mentality. Reliable public stat coverage for his current season is limited, but his long-running presence on the roster suggests experience, durability, and a willingness to do the dirty work in the middle of the defense. He looks like a fit for a team that wants instinct, toughness, and a role player who can stabilize the room rather than chase headlines.
