reliable Nebraska guard with steady senior-year scoring and a high-IQ, hustle-first profile
Velander’s calling card is consistency: Nebraska described him as a player who kept improving into his senior season, averaging 9.3 points per game off the bench, while ESPN’s career line shows a modest but useful all-around guard profile. He stands out less as a flashy scorer and more as a dependable, team-oriented piece with strong academics, toughness, and a blue-collar mentality that coaches tend to trust. If you want a guard who can compete, stay engaged, and add mature locker-room value, he looks like a solid fit.
