Army LB Cannon Woods brings classic Black Knight grit and depth
Cannon Woods is a senior linebacker for Army West Point in the 2026 season, listed at 6-0 and 40 on the roster, and the profile around him emphasizes a steady, system-fit defender in a physical, assignment-heavy Army defense[1]. His value is less about flashy box-score volume and more about linebacker traits that translate: toughness, discipline, and the ability to handle the program’s demanding, team-first style[1]. For a team that wants a reliable, militarily disciplined tone-setter who can contribute in a structured defense and special-teams environment, Woods looks like a sensible fit[1].
