Josh Bennett brings length, range, and special-teams toughness to Mercer’s linebacker room
Josh Bennett is a 6-3, 215-pound junior linebacker for Mercer from Waycross, Georgia, and the profile that jumps out is versatility: he’s been used as both a backup linebacker and special-teams contributor, with past seasons showing tackle production, a sack, an interception, a forced/fumbled-ball recovery, and pass breakups. His differentiators are effort, field awareness, and the kind of do-everything reliability coaches love in a depth piece with upside. If you want a physical, assignment-sound defender who can help on special teams and grow into more snaps, he’s worth a look.
