Hailey Herman brings swing-and-miss upside and battle-tested relief work to SDSU’s circle
Herman is a right-handed pitcher for South Dakota State whose 2026 season showed both ceiling and volatility: she went 3-4 with a 6.39 ERA, 36 strikeouts, and 35 walks in 49 1/3 innings, while also throwing her first college complete game and delivering a 10-strikeout outing against Colgate in 2026. Her calling card is competitiveness and versatility, flashing a strong recruiting pedigree and the ability to work in both starting and relief roles. If your team wants a tough, experienced arm with real upside, she’s worth a look—though command consistency is the swing factor.
