Josepha Mbouma gives Elon a timely scoring punch with tournament-tested confidence
Mbouma is a guard who can swing a game when the Phoenix need shot-making and composure, as shown by her 15-point effort in Elon’s CAA quarterfinal win over UNCW and her career-high 15 points in the CAA Championship game[1][7]. In the 2015-16 season, she averaged 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11.6 minutes, so the case for caring about her is less about volume and more about opportunistic impact, competitive edge, and proven readiness in high-leverage moments[7].
