The Dukes’ Big-bodied Tight End With a Quiet, Efficient Role
J.T. Cooper is a 6-foot-1, 255-pound tight end for Duquesne who gives the Dukes a physical, inline presence more than a flashy stat line. In the 2022 season, he appeared in nine games and finished with 1 catch for 5 yards, so the appeal isn’t volume—it’s the blocking profile, size, and versatility that fit a gritty run-first identity. He looks like a developmental fit for teams that value toughness, leverage, and matchup-specific utility over headline-grabbing production.
