Davis Budd looks like a useful, high-upside arm with summer momentum for Western Carolina
In the 2026 season, Western Carolina right-hander Davis Budd has worked as a versatile arm with 26.1 innings, a 6.49 ERA, 18 strikeouts, 2 wins, and a 1.41 WHIP, while also carrying summer-ball momentum from a 1.80 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 15.0 innings for Strasburg in 2025. He’s already shown swing-and-miss ability and the confidence to pitch in multiple roles, and Western Carolina even highlighted him as one of its most seasoned returning starters in 2025. If your team wants a live-arm pitcher with durability and competitive reps, Budd is worth a serious look.
