Experienced, versatile ECU DB with proven playmaking instincts
Witherspoon is a rangy, 6-foot-1 defensive back who brings versatility and veteran experience to East Carolina’s secondary, and he showed ball skills and disruption early by piling up tackles and pass breakups at Hutchinson Community College before moving to ECU. He’s the kind of fit that helps a defense with coverage flexibility and physicality, even if his stat line doesn’t scream star power—his value is in steady reliability, positional adaptability, and proven toughness across multiple levels of competition.
