Portland State’s Tough-Nosed Corner with a Hit-First Reputation
Watts is listed in Portland State’s football history as a cornerback known for being the best-hitting corner his staff had seen on film, which points to a physical, tone-setting style rather than a soft coverage specialist[8]. Publicly available current-season stat detail for a 2026 Portland State defender named Kevin Watts was not found in the sources surfaced here, so the strongest takeaway is his profile: a physical defensive back whose value would come from contact, special teams edge, and tough assignments more than flashy box-score numbers[1][4][13].
