Zealand Matagi arrived at Utah Tech as a physically sturdy back at 5-foot-9, 198 pounds, and in the 2021 season he showed efficiency on limited work, producing 35 rushing yards on 6 carries for a 5.8 yards-per-carry average. He was a Kahuku standout in high school, and the early read is a straight-ahead runner with enough pop to make him a useful depth piece if he can stay healthy and earn more touches.
