a steady SIU wing with a scorer’s touch and veteran feel
Abel Schrader has been a durable, versatile piece for Southern Illinois, and in the 1999-00 season he averaged 7.9 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 35.3% from the field and 83.3% at the line. He wasn’t a volume star, but he brought experience, composure, and enough all-around skill to give the Salukis a reliable G/F option who could chip in without needing the offense built around him. If your team wants an older, low-drama, team-first wing with proven minutes and a feel for the game, Schrader is the kind of glue guy who quietly makes lineups work.
