Western Michigan safety Vernon Stewart brings depth, discipline, and back-line versatility
Vernon Stewart is a junior safety at Western Michigan who appears to be more of a dependable defensive-back piece than a headline-grabbing stat producer, which can be a plus if you want range, alignment flexibility, and a player who fits into a system without needing the spotlight.[2][4] Western Michigan’s 2025 team profile shows a winning program context, but the roster page notes no current-season stats for Stewart, so his value is best judged through role, development, and coverage fit rather than box-score production.[1][3]
