Tony Lester gives App State a veteran 6-1, 255-pound edge presence on the interior
Tony Lester is a senior defensive lineman for Appalachian State in the 2026 season, listed at 6-1, 255 and on the depth chart at right tackle, which hints at a trusted, assignment-solid role in the rotation.[1][2] What makes him interesting is less flash and more function: he brings mature size, interior leverage, and the kind of stability coaches value when they want a dependable DL who can hold the point and keep the defense on schedule.[1][2] He looks like a fit for a team needing a sturdy, experienced trench piece rather than a headline hunter.[1][2]
