Makenna Shaffer-Lauer brings length, rebounding, and frontcourt versatility to Weber State
In the 2025-26 season, Makenna Shaffer-Lauer is a 6-foot-1 junior guard at Weber State who gives the Wildcats a useful hybrid presence: guard skills with forward-sized rebounding upside. Her earlier production at Buffalo showed real stat-sheet juice—12.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game as a freshman, plus five double-doubles and 20 double-figure scoring nights—but her 2025-26 role has been more complementary, with 4.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 16 steals, and four blocks across 30 games and 14 starts. That combination of toughness, rebounding, and defensive activity makes her the kind of player coaches love even when the box score gets modest.
