Speed-Driven Linebacker with Special-Teams Upside
Damaja Jones is a San Jose State linebacker whose athletic background and roster profile suggest a high-upside fit for teams that value speed, range, and developmental versatility; San Jose State lists him as a redshirt junior LB on the 2026 roster, and ESPN profiles him at linebacker[5][6]. Publicly available football production data are limited, so his appeal is less about headline stats and more about traits: if you want a defender who can translate track-level explosiveness into pursuit speed, special-teams impact, and coverage-move ability, he is worth a close look[3][5][6].
