Northern Colorado adds a physical, ball-hawking safety with special-teams upside
Ryan Lutz profiles as a toughness-first defensive back who brings competitive intensity and versatility to Northern Colorado’s secondary. Available public info is limited, but his recruiting profile lists him as a safety, and his background shows a player with production and playmaking instincts rather than just raw size or track-speed headlines. He also has a multi-sport competitive edge, including kicking work at camps, which can translate into useful special-teams value. If your team wants a gritty, coachable defender who can compete immediately on special teams and grow into a reliable coverage piece, he looks like a sensible fit.
