Will Vails Brings Versatile Secondary Value to Eastern Illinois
Will Vails is a defensive back at Eastern Illinois who fits the mold of a roster piece coaches value for versatility, physicality, and special-teams usefulness rather than headline-grabbing stats. The available team-level data shows Eastern Illinois was a low-scoring, sub-.500 team in 2024, so players who stand out in that setting usually earn their keep through reliability, effort, and assignment soundness. If your team needs a safety-minded defender who can help stabilize coverage and compete with intensity, Vails is the kind of player worth a closer look.
